“I think I was a yandere at one point. I was dating this guy in HS, and I got a little obsessed. I threatened to fight my best friend if she did anything to make me think that she was interested in him. I stalked a girl who was trying to take him away from me. I would call her and email her anonymously and threaten her. I was so jealous of everyone, even his male friends.
I spent so much time trying to make myself completely perfect for him in every way. Cut my hair (he liked short hair), spent all of my money on him, cooked, cleaned, tried to do everything for him. After a while, our relationship started to fall apart, but that only made my obsession with him worse. We would do nothing but argue though. Argue and have sex. When he was sleeping I would just sit there and stare at him, thinking about how I wanted him to be with me forever. I thought about killing him so I could just cuddle up to him forever without him waking up and yelling at me for being clingy.
Every time I would just think about him I would get this deep and strange weight in my chest and I felt like I was going to cry from the happiness of being near him. Obviously, it didn’t work out. A year and a half into it, he left me and I ended up having to leave the state. I’m in a new relationship now, but I know I couldn’t love anyone more than I loved him.” —
